As of February 20, 2020 BMW started offering BMW Card and BMW Precision Card in place of BMW Visa Cards.
Per the General Information Page about the BMW Visa Card “Your old credit card will be de-activated and no longer work after February 20, 2020.”
Both of the new BMW Mastercards offer generous rewards for customers who make frequent purchases at BMW dealerships, gas stations and while dining out.

The BMW Card does not have an annual fee, while the BMW Precision Card has a modest $99 annual fee.
Both cards offer an enrollment bonus:
- BMW Card – 5,000 points after spending $500 in eligible net purchases within the first 90 days of account opening
- BMW Precision Card – 7,500 points after spending $1,000 in eligible net purchases within the first 90 days of account opening
The BMW Card offers 0% financing for the first 12 months, while the BMW Precision Card doesn’t have the same interest-free deal.
The BMW Card charges a 3% foreign currency fee, while the BMW Precision Card has no foreign currency fees.
The BMW Card is World Mastercard and the BMW Precision Card is a World Elite Mastercard issued by Elan Financial Services.

BMW credit card is issued by Elan Financial Services. Unless instantly approved you should get their decision by email within 14 days. Check your emails (including junk mail folder) for something by BMW Financial Services or Elan Financial Services. You could also try calling Elan Financial Services at 866-845-3079 or 800-558-3424 to see if they help with the application status.
